(Post 4) Our practice task planning

Image
Our practice task planning  Our plan for our coursework We have updated our task slightly due to the fact we have made some progress with our idea for our actual coursework; so we decided to do something that would be more beneficial to our end result. Therefore we decided to recreate the first 30 seconds of a music video that has inspired our plans for our own music video, which is  ' Sleep on the Floor'  By the Lumineers as this would give us some idea of how to recreate the style we are going for and some initial practice of trying to capture those kind of shots. Plan: Potential settings:  All of our potential settings are based at our sixth form due to the practicality of being able to film in school time and also having all our group in the same place so it is easy for as all to be there and help each other. It also means that we can use our friends as cast as they will be there as well, making the whole construction of the video far easier. Setting 1: CLC ...

(Post 52) Final ancillary task 2

Image
Ancillary task 2  Displayed above is our final outcome of our album poster. We have decided to use a simple photo of the two main characters within out music video (myself and Amelia). The photo shows two girls that we assume are laughing to one another and the camera has captured this moment they are sharing. Directly on top of the photograph we have added a title of the single and the artists name in the same font but slightly smaller. We have also added small logos of  iTunes and spotify for promotional reasons.  To edit our poster, we used the editing softwares named 'Adobe Photoshop' and 'Adobe lightroom'. Photoshop -  An image editing software developed and manufactured by  Adobe  Systems Inc.  Photoshop  is considered one of the leaders in photo editing software. The software allows users to manipulate, crop, resize, and correct color on digital photos. Lightroom -  Adobe Lightroom  (officially...

Image
Final song choice  What artist are we using and which song? We are using the song 'I'll try anything once" - The Strokes. We think the song will go really well with our concept because even though our idea has a happy feeling, the sombre tone of the song will almost juxtapose the video. This hopefully will be successful in challenging the normal forms conventions of music videos.  BELOW ARE SOME MORE THEIR MUSIC VIDEOS: When “Last Nite,” the second single off the band’s 2001 debut  Is This It  dropped, it signaled a sea change in music. With pop-punk slipping into irrelevance and rap metal sliding into self-parody, rock fans were hungry for something new. That something was The Strokes and many garage rock revival bands that rose to prominence in their wake. The band’s first proper music video, the Roman Coppola directed “Last Nite” captures everything that made the band an early 21 st century sensation; their impeccable but ragged musicians...
