(Post 16) Ancillary Task research

For the following task my group and I had to create a 'talking head' video. This task is where we had to ask people about famous album covers and film posters to try and get more of an understanding of the consumer side to our ancillary task.

Here are the questions we have to ask each respondent :

1)  What makes a film poster/music album cover stand out from the others?

2) In what ways can you think of film posters/music album covers link to the film plot/music, video/song themselves?

3) How much of a marketing tool do you consider a film poster and album cover to be?

4) As a consumer, what hints/tips can you give us in regard to making our own posters and/or album covers?

Hopefully we have the gained from the information we received from our interviews to let us what makes a successful film poster or album cover. I also hope we have gained what not to include within an album cover or film poster.

(Post 39) Final, Final idea based on all planning

FINAL IDEA Our final idea hasn't changed from our planning stage. This means that we haven't adapted or reordered anything from when we settled on our idea for our music video, a couple of months ago. Our final idea is two sisters, in fact 17-year old twins, going away to a beach house/holiday house. They want to spend time with each other, cooking, walking on the beach, reading in bed, board games, shopping and other, perhaps, menial tasks and hobbies, but meaningful to them because they're together. They want to get away/run away because they don't live together or speak much. They spend the time at a beach house that belongs to their friend, and don't spend time on their phones at all. There are lots of interesting and cosy rooms to explore with the girls where they can spend their time.
